Kurt Dehn
Kurt Dehn (born July 19, 1920 in Leistadt , now Bad Dürkheim , † August 26, 2000 ) was a veteran of Palatinate folk music and dialect poet . Numerous dialect hits come from his pen.
Kurt Dehn's songs about the beauty of the Palatinate and the warmth of the heart of its residents are still sung by many people from the Palatinate today, be it at the countless wine festivals around the German Wine Route , at other private and public celebrations or, as cover versions , from one of the numerous Palatinate dialect combos . Dehn's best-known creations are Ja so en gude Palzwoi and In de Palz, de Parre goes into the Kerch with de Peif and Do worth the Wuzz slaughtered .
Dehn's songs were and are known to put people in a good mood in good company, but they also contain (self-) critical lines such as “En real Pälzer racht ken hash, because our Schdoff kummd from de Flasch” and “Mer Pälzer (. ..) often answer like Blücher ”.
