Kurt Kosmanek

Kurt Kosmanek (born June 3, 1940 ) is a former German football player. In the 1966/67 season he played with BSG Wismut Gera in the GDR Oberliga, the top division in GDR football .

Athletic career

Kosmanek was 1962 with the company sports community (BSG) progress Greiz champion of the district league Gera , which rose to the third class II. GDR league . This was already dissolved after the 1962/63 season, and Kosmanek had to play with Greiz again in the now third-rate district league.

For the 1964/65 season Kosmanek moved to BSG Wismut Gera in the second-rate GDR league . In the two seasons 1964/65 and 1965/66 he did not belong to the narrow player base with 33 stakes in points in 60 games played. In 1966, Wismut Gera was promoted to the GDR league, but only lasted for one season. Kosmanek was used in defense in the first three league games, after which he had to pause for 15 match days. He was only called up again in the 19th round and then played the remaining point games until the end of the season. In these games, too, he was back in defense. In his only league season he made eleven league appearances, as a goalscorer he was unsuccessful.

From 1967 to 1972 Kosmanek played with the BSG Wismut again in the GDR league. With the exception of the 1969/70 and 1971/72 seasons, he was part of the regular team and was now successful with eight goals. He achieved this in his 77 games, which he had completed in the five seasons with a total of 142 point games between 1967 and 1972. Then Kosmanek was active with the 2nd bismuth team in the district league until 1974. As a recreational footballer, Kosmanek let his career end with the lower class BSG Wismut in Paitzdorf .
