Kurt Müller (born April 4, 1934 in Kriens ) is a former Swiss sports shooter .

successes

Kurt Müller took part in three Olympic Games . In 1960 he did not get beyond 17th place in a three-position battle with the small-bore rifle in Rome . Four years later he finished eighth in this discipline in Tokyo , while he was seventh in the three-position fight with the free rifle. At the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City , he scored a total of 1148 points with the free rifle in the three-position battle, winning the bronze medal behind Gary Anderson and Valentin Kornew . As in Tokyo four years earlier, he finished eighth in the prone position with the small-bore rifle.

1962 Kurt Müller was the single with the free gun in kneeling position and in the team competition of the Standing shooting with small caliber gun runner-up . In addition, he took third place in the standing position with the free rifle in the individual and with the team in the three-position competitions with the free rifle and the small bore rifle. In 1966 he won the title twice: in standing shooting with the free rifle, he was world champion in the individual and with the air rifle in the team competition. In the three-position competitions with the standard rifle and the army rifle, he won silver with the team, and with the free rifle he won team bronze.
