Kurt Moosdorf (politician, 1884)

Kurt Moosdorf (* 25. January 1884 in Ronneburg (Thuringia) ; † 24. April 1956 in Bad Vilbel ) was a German politician of the SPD .

Life and education

After graduating from elementary school, trade school and adult education center, Moosdorf trained as a carpenter and worked as a foreman. Moosdorf was district manager of the German Woodworkers Association in Giessen .

From 1902 Kurt Moosdorf was a member of the SPD and worked there in various board positions. Between 1928 and 1933 he was mayor of Bad Vilbel. After the National Socialists came to power , he lost this office, but returned to the same office after the liberation from April 1, 1946 to 1955.

In 1946 Moosdorf was a member of the state assembly of Greater Hesse, which advised the constitution, and was also elected to the Hessian state parliament in 1946 for the first electoral period until November 30, 1950 .

Moosdorf belonged to the German Bundestag from May 4, 1952, when he was re-elected for the late Wilhelm Knothe , until the end of the first legislative period . He represented the constituency of Friedberg in parliament.

In 1949 he was a member of the first federal assembly .
