Kurt Pellegrino (born May 7, 1979 in Point Pleasant ) is an American mixed martial arts fighter who fights in the lightweight class of the Ultimate Fighting Championship . On March 19, 2011, his match record was 16 wins and six losses. His nickname is Batman .

Pellegrino, a wrestler and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, grew up in Point Pleasant. He played his first official MMA competition in August 2002 for World Extreme Cagefighting against Mac Danzig . As a result, he carried out eight more fights for smaller organizers, where he lost only once. In July 2006 he had his first fight in the Ultimate Fighting Championship . He had to give up against Drew Fickett in the third round. After a victorious fight in the Absolute Fighting Championships , he should remain in a row in the UFC . He was beaten by Nate Diaz at UFC - Fight Night 13 and defeated Josh Neer in the main card of UFC 101 in August 2009. In July 2010 he lost at UFC 116 to George Sotiropoulos and on March 19, 2011 at UFC 128 against Gleison Tibau . In total, he completed twelve UFC fights by this time, of which he won seven and lost five.
