Music videos

As part of the promotion of the album, five music videos were shot for five singles. No good son-in-law usually plays in a pub or apartment. The protagonists are the rapper MIKI, who also plays the "son-in-law", and the girlfriend / spouse of the son-in-law. The scenes in the apartment show the situation described in the song, while the son-in-law comes home drunk and covered in blood, where he vomits. In the second part, the video shows how the drunk son-in-law is picked up on the street by his girlfriend. In between you can see MIKI drinking a beer and rapping in a bar.

The video for Always Saturday takes place mainly in an S-Bahn and in the apartments of the protagonists. In the S-Bahn you can see the rappers MIKI and Reece with a group of men in fan clothing and with beer in hand. In the apartments of the two protagonists you can see several female people, one of whom is the partner of a protagonist, the rest are friends of the partner. After the first scenes on the train, you first see MIKI putting a load of Tupperware on the table for his partner and her friends , later he gives them a few more films. In between, the group of men jumps through the train until the situation of Reece and his partner is shown in the second verse. While Reece goes to his boys, his partner cleans the apartment and makes him sandwiches for the trip away. Later she wipes his vomit off his face. The video ends with a scene from the S-Bahn.

The music video for Wie der Vater, so der Sohn mainly plays around the Westfalenstadion in Dortmund . MIKI raps in front of a group of boys who are all dressed in fan merchandise. In between scenes of fathers and their sons are faded in or MIKI is shown with his own son. At the very beginning and at the end, MIKI plays soccer with his son. Hagen Stoll , who sings the hook of the song, does not appear in this music video.

The fourth music video was shot for Kreisligasound . It takes place on the Ascheplatz of SV Herne 57. The video mainly shows scenes from a fictional regional league game and the two protagonists MIKI and Sonikk in the changing room of the sports club, with SV Herne 57 players appearing as extras in the background.

The last music video forkurmukke was shot for the single Anti RB ( United in the cause) . It tells a fictional storyline, with the kidnapping of a man wearing the RB Leipzig shirt . He is kidnapped by several masked men and driven into a workshop in a delivery truck. There he is humiliated, injured in the face and doused with gasoline. Then the Red Bull logos are sprayed onto his fan articles. Then the kidnappers lock him up, after which the kidnapper has some time to think. Shortly afterwards, the kidnappers return with a chainsaw and threaten the kidnapped person with further violence. The kidnapped man gives in, takes off his jersey and is driven back by the kidnappers to the place where he was kidnapped. There he doused his jersey and snapback cap with gasoline and set it on fire under the supervision of the kidnappers. In between the various rappers can be seen. Partly in the vicinity of the stadium of their club, partly accompanied by masked football fans.

Since label boss Reece had reached 20,000 likes on his Facebook profile at the end of March 2017, the previously unpublished music video for "Perle aus dem Block" was uploaded to the label's YouTube account as a thank you. This was not finished before the release and was therefore not published before. In keeping with the theme, you can see the performer MIKI with a sportily dressed "pearl from the block" who wears a ski mask in many scenes. The different sides of "Pearls from the Block" are shown, for example she shows the Red Bull cans the middle finger or spits on the floor. Overall, MIKI shows a positive attitude towards women's passion for football.

Chart successes and evaluation

On October 28, 2016, curve mukke entered the German charts at number 9 and at number 2 in the German hip-hop charts. On October 30, 2016, it was ranked 36th in Switzerland and on November 4th, 2016, it was ranked 29th in the Austrian charts. In spite of its good chart position, curve mukke continued to be ignored by most of the hip-hop media. The only professional rating came from the Backspin, which gave curve mukke 4.2 out of 10 points. The editors criticized the topic, which they would not pick up. With statements like "The blue-and-white soccer fan in me can't do anything with the crazy club, but MIKI s has delivered.", "Or it's simply because it's mostly about BVB." or "I think it pulls well within the radius of the Westfalen Stadium." however, they showed that they did not understand the subject or heard the album correctly, as this album is by no means about BVB .
