MIKI (born April 29, 1989 in Castrop-Rauxel ; real name Michél Puljic ) is a German rapper who was under contract with the Dortmund independent label Kopfnussmusik until its closure .
Life
Puljic is the son of a Croat and a German. He grew up in Herne district Börnig and lives there to this day. He attended the Börsinghauser elementary school and then the Otto-Hahn-Gymnasium in Herne. MIKI has been actively playing football since the age of three, including in the youth teams of VfL Bochum and Westfalia Herne . He currently plays for FC Herne 57. He is a fan of Borussia Dortmund and a member of the BVB fan club Los Borussos .
On the occasion of the 18th birthday of a cousin, Puljic recorded his first song in 2007. In 2011 he and the singer Diamond won the title of "Revierkönig" at the Cranger Kirmes in Herne.
In 2011 he wrote a farewell song for Dedê , a Borussia Dortmund player , who then met with MIKI. MIKI's biggest appearance so far was when he appeared in front of around 80,000 people during the half-time break of Leonardo Dede's farewell game on September 5, 2015 in Signal Iduna Park.
In July 2012 the Mo Leitner song was released , which he dedicated to the Dortmund player Moritz Leitner .
In 2013 MIKI was signed to Reeces label Kopfnussmusik . With the then two other rappers of the labels, chord and Reece, he published in June 2013 after the departure of Mario Gotze to Bayern Munich the song you have now what do you want ?. Gotze then demanded compensation from the rappers. The rappers signed a cease and desist letter. After that, Götze apparently did not pursue the claim for damages.
The song Cuba, Cuba! from 2013, which is dedicated to the Dortmund player Jakub Błaszczykowski , led Puljic to an invitation to the opening of Błaszczykowski Sports Center Kubatura , where he performed together with Reece.
In December 2013 MIKI's debut solo album Malochersohn was released by Kopfnussmusik. It entered the German album charts at number 94 in the first calendar week of 2014. On May 9, 2014, the sampler From Coal and Steel was released , on which the Kopfnussmusik members Reece and Sonikk are also represented. The sampler reached number 15 on the German compilation charts . On December 19, 2014, the EP Suffkoppkomando was released , on which Reece and Sonikk participated again in addition to MIKI.
On October 21, 2016, the second solo album curve mukke was released , which was offered in addition to the normal CD as a box edition limited to 2500 copies, which included a Best of MIKI bonus CD in addition to the album .
On October 6, 2017, Suffkoppkommando 2 followed, an album on which Reece, Akkord and DeoZ are represented in addition to MIKI. It is offered as CD, download, stream and as a fan box limited to 500 copies, which also includes the "David vs. Goliath EP "contains six songs by MIKI and one song by the Cologne rapper CPO.
Reece announced the closure of the label Kopfnussmusik at the beginning of April 2019 , whereupon MIKI founded his own label Malochermusik and announced the album curve mukke 2 .
