The Hamburg Short Film Agency (KFA for short) is an association for the promotion and distribution of short films . It was founded in Hamburg in 1992 and sees itself as representing the interests of short film makers.

The short film agency has been operating a commercial short film rental company for cinemas and other venues in German-speaking countries since 1994. It supplies around 400 movie theaters. In 1996 and 2004 the federal government awarded her the award for this. The Kurzfilm Agentur Hamburg received the German Innovation Award 2005 for the short film agency's online database. The Kurzfilmagentur Hamburg's Kurzfilmagentur Hamburg exclusively signs suitable short films and organizes the worldwide sale of their usage rights. Since 2006, the bilingual online sales database has enabled film buyers to research and view short films on the Internet in detail.

The Hamburg Short Film Agency currently maintains a short film database with around 48,000 titles and organizes the Hamburg International Short Film Festival and the affiliated Mo & Friese Children's Short Film Festival every year . The festival presents current, international short film productions in various competition categories, organizes retrospectives and special programs and sees itself as a communication forum for filmmakers and visitors from home and abroad.
