Kuwai Ike (from Japanese く わ い 池 ) is a small lake on the Prince Harald Coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It is located on the Skarvsnes peninsula on the east bank of Lützow-Holm Bay on a hill in the southwest of Kizahashi Beach .
Japanese scientists named it in 2012 after the common name in Japan for the double-flowered arrowhead ( Sagittaria trifolia ), as its shoreline is reminiscent of its leaf shape.
