Kvinnheringen is a Norwegian local newspaper that in the municipality Kvinnherad in the Fylke Vestland is issued. It appears on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, in the summer months only on Tuesdays and Fridays in Nynorsk . The edition reached 4458 copies in 2010.

The main office is in Husnes , there are also local offices in Sæbøvik on Halsnøy and in Rosendal . The editor-in-chief is Tomas Bruvik.

The first edition of the Kvinn Herring was issued on Wednesday January 3rd, 1973. The editor was Kristian Hus, editor Torfinn Mykleust.

On September 1, 1998, the newspaper was taken over by A-Press , Norway's second largest media group.

Kvinnheringen is an independent and apolitical newspaper. The sales price per copy rose from 7 kroner (1997) to 12 kroner (2005).

The newspaper Grenda , published in Rosendal, competes with Kvinnheringen with the aim of a local newspaper for Kvinnherad.
