Kwak Sin-ae
Kwak Sin-ae (* 1968 in Busan ) is a South Korean film producer .
Life
Kwak Sin-ae worked as a journalist for the film magazine KINO until the late 1990s before turning to the film industry herself in 1999 and working for the film production companies LJ Films as well as Generation Blue Films and ShinCine Communications in the 2000s . Since 2010 she has been CEO of the production company Barunson Entertainment & Arts Corporation .
For the film Parasite , she was awarded the Oscar in the category of best film in 2020 . The previous year she won the British Independent Film Award for the same production .
