Kwari

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kwari is a new kind of computer game . In contrast to conventional multiplayer games, this first-person shooter is not played for points, but for real money. This created the new genre of cash shooters . The gameplay and the level design are based on common first-person shooter games such as Quake .

action

Kwari is set in a science fiction universe in the distant future. Humanity left the earth in the so-called Great Exodus. Few of those left behind fight for their survival on earth. In Kwari arenas, battles for Kwari dollars are fought in the ruins of the abandoned earth.

Course of the game

A Kwari session is a limited period of time in a specified Kwari arena ( level ). Before a Kwari session, the player must buy ammunition for their weapons and pay a cash stake for the session.

After the start of the game, a fixed amount is deducted from the staked money of the hit person for each hit and credited to the shooter. This sum of money can be between one euro cent and one euro. The sums of money for self-inflicted damage and damage from falling are included in a pill jackpot . This jackpot is paid out at the end of the game.

The pill jackpot is paid out to two players: the player who has held “The Pill” the longest, or the player who has held “The Pill” at the end of the session. The Pill is a glowing ball, which has to be spawned , conquered and held in a random place in the Kwari Arena .

5000 players can play simultaneously per Kwari server. In a Kwari session, 16 to 64 players play against each other in each arena.

costs

The sums of money wagered by players are paid out in full to all players participating in a session or are used in jackpots that can be won.

The ammunition must be paid for separately. 5000 rounds cost $ 5. This corresponds to approx. 50 c per game. This money will be transferred to Kwari Limited.

Multiplayer mode

Kwari only has a multiplayer mode. In contrast to conventional first-person shooters , the characters are anonymized. This is intended to prevent team play.

Quotes

Eddie Gill, (Founder of Kwari Limited): “Money changes everything. I wanted to create something that had more of a buzz than a traditional shooting game. "
Head of Marketing Al King: "Once you have reached a professional level or have played for money, it becomes irrelevant to return to an amateur level."
