Kyle Russell (born August 25, 1993 in Loomis ) is an American volleyball player .

Career

Russell got into volleyball because he accompanied his older sister Jamie to training and was discovered by her coach. He began his career at Del Oro High School in Loomis. In 2012 he began his studies at the University of California, Irvine and played on the university team. In 2012 and 2013 he won the NCAA championship. With the junior national team of the United States he took part in the U21 World Cup. After completing his studies, the diagonal attacker switched to MKS Będzin in 2016 . With the club he was eleventh in the Polish league. In 2017 Russell was hired by the German champion Berlin Recycling Volleys . With the club he reached the quarter-finals of the DVV Cup in the 2017/18 season and became German champion . In the following season, in addition to making it to the semi-finals, he defended his title in the Bundesliga . He then moved to the French club AS Cannes Volley-Ball .
