The Fleet Point is a headland at the Bowman Coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located 6 km northwest of the Tent-Nunatak on the banks of the Whirlwind Inlet and is characterized by a rock spur between 260 m and 870 m high .
Aerial photographs were taken by the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939-1941), the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947-1948) and by the United States Navy in 1968. The British Antarctic Survey (BAS) mapped them between 1963 and 1964. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named them in 1974 after Michael Fleet (* 1940), who was an assistant on a BAS team exploring the Larsen Ice Shelf from 1963 to 1964 .
