The tent nunatak (from English tent ' tent ' ) is a conspicuous pyramidal or tent-shaped nunatak on the Bowman coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is the eastern two nunatakker between Fleet Point and Choice Point and marks the southern limit of the entrance to Whirlwind Inlet .
It was discovered and photographed from the air in 1940 by scientists from the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939–1941), which also gave it its descriptive name. The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey made a map of the area in 1947.
