The Låghamaren ( Norwegian for Low Hammer ) is a rock cliff in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . In Sverdrupfjella it forms the north-western end of the Hamrane .
The first aerial photographs were taken during the German Antarctic Expedition (1938–1939) under the direction of Alfred Ritscher . Norwegian cartographers, who also named the cliff, mapped it using aerial photographs and surveys of the Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–1952) and aerial photographs of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960).
