The Lönnberg Valley is an ice-free valley on the north coast of South Georgia in the South Atlantic . It lies between Hound Bay and the Nordenskjöld Glacier .
The South Georgia Survey mapped it as part of its survey campaign conducted from 1951 to 1957. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1958 after the Swedish zoologist Einar Lönnberg (1865-1942), who had written a scientific report on the zoological collection made between 1904 and 1905 on South Georgia by the zoologist Erik Sörling from the Naturhistoriska riksmuseet .
