Löw singer (* 1781 in Oberdorf near Ederheim , † 1843 in Munich ) was Chasan in Munich.

Life

Löw singer was Chasan at the Great Synagogue in Munich. He was the source for Samuel Naumbourg's musicological work Semiroth Israel: chants religieux des Israélites, contenant la liturgie complète de la synagogue, des temps les plus reculés jusqu'à nos jours , which appeared in Paris in 1847 . Naumbourg recorded the singer's melodies in 1840. They were republished by Abraham Zvi Idelsohn in 1932.
