Chandelier (fabric)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Chandelier (by Franz. Luster = surface gloss) is a glossy fabric.

Cotton is used as a warp for the fabric . The weft can be made of worsted , mohair or alpaca . In the past, chandeliers were primarily used for outerwear, especially jackets, aprons and school uniforms. Marcel Pagnol, for example, reports in his childhood memories that the pupils had to wear a black luster smock over their street clothes in high school.
