Lüttersmühle was a part of the municipality of Neunkirchen-Seelscheid in the Rhein-Sieg district .

location

The Lüttersmühle was located in the Wahnbachtal and was flooded by the Wahnbach dam in 1958 . Neighboring towns were Wahn in the west and Wolperath in the east. The districts of Herkenrathermühle in the north and Hillenbach have also disappeared.

history

The watermill belonged to the municipality of Neunkirchen . It was mentioned for the first time in 1645 and, as a grain and oil mill, was taxable until 1803 opposite the Menorite monastery in Seligenthal .

In 1830 Lüttersmühle had 18 inhabitants. In 1845 the farm had 34 Catholic residents in five houses. In 1888 there were six residents in one building.

In 1901 the mill had six residents. Müller was Paul Küpper.

In 1956 the Wahnbachtalsperrenverband bought the mill from the last miller, Josef Küpper, for 239,438 marks.
