L'Affaire du siècle (French for "the question of the century") is a climate protection movement that originated in France . It is worn by Oxfam , Nature et Homme , Greenpeace and Notre affaire à tous .

history

In 2018, the movement managed to collect two million signatures for more climate protection within a short space of time. On December 17, 2018, the French President Emmanuel Macron and his government received a dossier of the movement in which the French state was asked to take a position on the government's climate protection policy, which was inadequate from the perspective of the movement.

L'Affaire du siècle is similar to other movements with similar goals, including Sunrise Movement in the United States , Extinction Rebellion in the United Kingdom and Mums for a Safe Climate in Australia , all of which call for an Earth Strike on September 27, 2019 , one than before largest climate protest planned protest action.
