L'Auditori
L'Auditori ( Catalan for "the auditorium") is a modern building complex of 42,000 m² in Barcelona , which is mainly used for music performances.
The auditori was designed by the architect Rafael Moneo and opened on March 22, 1999. It is part of the urban development project on Plaça de les Glòries , where three of the city's main axes meet: Avinguda Diagonal , Gran Via and Avinguda Meridiana.
The same complex also houses the Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya (Symphonic Orchestra of Barcelona and National Orchestra of Catalonia), the Escola Superior de Música de Barcelona ( Barcelona University of Music) and the Museu de la Música (Music Museum) . All of this makes the Auditori a hub for the city's music scene.
