The LASK II was the second team of the Austrian Bundesliga LASK . The team played in 2nd class until 2014 , before being part of a syndicate with FC Pasching in 2014 .

history

The LASK amateurs took part in the ÖFB Cup for the first time in the 2001/02 season . In the first round you could defeat SV Schwechat , in the second round you failed at the second division DSV Leoben . In the 2002/03 season the amateurs of the Linz champions of the Upper Austrian League were promoted to the third-class regional league for the first time . The debut season in the Regionalliga ended last and thus rose again after only one season in 2004 in the Upper Austrian League.

In the season after relegation, they finished fifth, they also took part in the cup a second time, but failed in the first round at the second division SC Untersiebenbrunn . In the 2005/06 season they finished sixth in the Upper Austrian League. In the 2006/07 season they only finished eleventh and escaped relegation to fifth division by just one point. In the 2007/08 season they became runner- up with four points behind FC Blau-Weiß Linz . In the 2008/09 season they finished third. In the 2009/10 season they were five points behind Union Vöcklamarkt for a second time runner-up. After the bankruptcy of SK Austria Kärnten , however, a place in the Central Regionalliga became available, which meant that the LASK amateurs were able to advance.

The second season in the regional league could not have gone better for the LASK Juniors: With a lead of one point over city rivals Blau-Weiß Linz, the amateurs became champions immediately after their promotion. Despite the championship title, the amateurs were not allowed to take part in the promotion relegation, as the ÖFB amateur teams prohibited participation in professional football from 2010 to 2018. In the 2010/11 season they took part in the ÖFB Cup again, but failed in the first round due to the amateurs of Kapfenberger SV . After the success, however, another low point immediately followed in 2011/12: The LASK amateurs had no chance in the regional league and were last, 18 points missing from the non-relegation places. In the ÖFB-Cup, SK Rapid Wien also finished 7-0 in the first round . The amateurs rose, however, did not appear in the Upper Austrian League in the 2012/13 season, but were signed off from the game.

In the 2013/14 season they got back into the eight-class 2nd class middle in a syndicate with ASKÖ Zöhrdorf . In this one could become a superior master. Despite the success, the second team was canceled after one season and went into a syndicate with the regional league club FC Pasching .
