LD-2000 ( Chinese 陆 盾 2000 , Pinyin LuDun-2000 , in German: Landschild 2000 ) is a modern Chinese short-range air defense system that is used to protect vehicle groups and strategic facilities. It was primarily designed for export .
Development history
In 2004, the People's Republic of China presented the LD-2000 system to the public for the first time, which had a 30 mm Gatling cannon as an anti-aircraft weapon , which is actually intended for use on naval ships. Despite intensive marketing, no LD-2000 has been exported.
technology
The remote-controlled seven-barreled 30 mm Gatling gun Type 730 CIWS is installed on the rear part of an 8 × 8 truck, a fire control radar is also located on the base vehicle. This is either a WS2400 or a variant of the HY473 . For reasons of stability, four hydraulic supports must be lowered to the ground for firing. The gun is powered by an external power unit with power and has a cadence 4200-5800 rounds / min. The maximum range is 3,000 m, typically from a distance of 1,000 to 1,500 m. The system can intercept targets at a maximum speed of Mach 2.
