description
Mid-1980s began Wanshan Special Vehicle Factory in Yuan'an with the replica of the heavy Soviet / Belarusian trucks MAZ-543rd Like its role model, it was to serve as a mobile rocket launch pad for short-range missiles such as the DF-11 . The result of these efforts was given the designation WS2400 8 × 8. Initial problems in the production of the vehicle were resolved with the help of Belarusian experts in the late 1990s. The WS2400 looks very similar to the MAZ-543, but it is probably powered by a diesel engine based on the German model. In addition, the truck is available in different versions, some with different drive formulas . The WS2400 has a loading capacity of 22 tons.
