HY473
The HY473 (or Type 82 ) is a heavy Chinese - trucks with four-wheel drive , which served as the starting model for other Chinese military trucks.

The Chinese vehicle manufacturer Hanyang Special Auto Works began developing the HY473 tractor unit and the HY962 semi-trailer , which were intended as a mobile launch pad for the DF-21 A nuclear missile , in the late 1970s . The DF-21A missile is housed in a launch and transport container that is installed on the three-axle HY962 trailer. The cab-over-engine truck has a double winch behind the cab . The tilting driver's cab offers a total of six people and the HY473 version is based on that of the Mitsubishi Fuso truck models .
Other models that date back to the HY473 are used as heavy-duty transporters with up to 60 tons of payload by the People's Liberation Army to transport battle tanks and other tracked vehicles over long distances inexpensively and without excessive road wear. The HY473 is powered by an air-cooled 12-cylinder KHD -F12L413F-V diesel engine with an output of 261 kW (355 hp) at 2500 rpm. Later models are used as launch vehicles for anti-aircraft missiles .
