Reni Eddo Lodge
Reni Eddo-Lodge (born September 25, 1989 ) is a British columnist and writer , focusing on feminism and racism .
Life
Eddo Lodge, whose mother is of Nigerian descent, grew up in London. She attended St Anne's Catholic High School in Enfield .
In 2011 she graduated from the University of Central Lancashire with a degree in English literature . During her student years, she delved into feminism . In 2010, she took part in nationwide student protests against cuts in education and increases in university fees. She became part of the student body at her university and was a member of the National Executive Committee of the National Union of Students in 2012/13.
As a freelance journalist , Eddo-Lodge has published articles in The New York Times , The Guardian , The Independent , The Daily Telegraph , The Voice , BuzzFeed , Vice , iD, and Dazed and Confused .
In 2017 Eddo-Lodge published the polemical text Why I'm No Longer Talking to White People About Race (German: “Why I no longer talk to white people about skin color”). The book is based on a post on her blog from 2014.
