Imzouren ( Central Atlas Tamazight ⵉⵎⵣⵓⵔⴻⵏ , Arabic إمزورن) is a city in northern Morocco with about 40,000 inhabitants. It is the neighboring town the provincial capital Al Hoceima in the region Tanger-Tetouan Al Hoceima .
Location and climate

history
Imzouren was founded around 1930 as a settlement of the nomadic Berber tribe of the Aït Ouaryaghel; the place belonged to the Spanish protectorate area in northern Morocco. On February 24, 2004, an earthquake struck large parts of Al Hoceïma province; Many houses were also destroyed in Imzouren and there were dead and injured.
