Moroccan Arabic ( Standard Arabic اللهجة المغربية, DMG al-Lahǧa al-Maġribiyya ; Moroccan-Arabicالدارجة المغربية, DMG ad-Dāriǧa al-Maġribiyya or often shortالدارجة, DMG ad-Dāriǧa , ) is an Arabic dialect and is spoken by around 20 million people as their mother tongue and around 12 million as a second language in addition to Berber languages, most of whom live in Morocco , but recently also in Western Europe . He belongs to the group of Maghrebian dialects of Arabic .

Moroccan Arabic developed from classical Arabic and is heavily influenced by the language of the “indigenous people” of Morocco, the Tamazight. He also knows syllables without vowels and sonants .
In contrast to classical Arabic, Moroccans also use the adopted letter "G" (ڭ), "P" (پ) and V" (ڥ or. ڤ).
