Tarifit (own name: Tmaziɣt or Tamaziɣt n Arrif , Arabic لهجة تريفيت, DMG lahǧat tarīfīt , orالأمازيغية الريفية, DMG al-ʾAmāzīġiya ar-rīfiya , Spanish Rifeño , French Rifain ) is a Berber language mainly spoken in Morocco with around 4.4 million speakers (2016).

The main area of circulation is in Morocco with around 4.24 million speakers, especially in the Rif coastal region. With Taschelhit and Central Atlas Tamazight , Tarifit is the most important Berber language there.

Tarifit speakers also live in Western European countries such as Germany, France, Spain and the Benelux countries (Moroccan immigrants).
