Athletics community Mittweida

The Mittweida athletics community ( LG Mittweida for short ) is a sports club in the Chemnitz administrative district . It emerged from the merger of the athletics departments of VfA Rochlitzer Berg , LV Mittweida 09, TSV Medizin Wechselburg , LWV Geringswalde and SV progress Lunzenau .

The LG Mittweida was founded on January 1st, 2005. The chairman is Uwe Sperling.

As of 2011, around 130 athletes are organized in the sports club.

The LG Mittweida was able to produce athletes who were further promoted in the state bases. These include Martin Keller , David Storl , Max Bedewitz and Franziska Hofmann (7th of the 2010 Youth Olympic Games over 100 m hurdles).
