The Luftwaffensportverein Adler Deblin ( LSV Adler Deblin for short ) was a football club from the city of Dęblin ( Deblin ) in occupied Poland during the Second World War .
history
The club was founded in Wurzen, Saxony, as the Air Force Sports Club Wurzen and was delegated to Deblin in 1942. The field handball team of LSV Wurzen became champions of the Saxony division in 1941 and was thus allowed to take part in the German field handball championship in 1941/42 . In this, the club was eliminated in the preliminary round after a 6-14 defeat against the eventual German champions SG OrPo Magdeburg .
After the delegation to Deblin, the soccer department of the LSV played in the general government division and was able to secure the championship title in the 1942/43 season . However, they could not exercise the right to start in the final round of the German championship because of the war. For this, the SG Police in Warsaw moved up. The handball department also won the Gauliga Generalgouvernement in 1942/43 and took part in the German field handball championship in 1943 , but was eliminated in the elimination round after an 8: 9 defeat after extra time against SG OrPo Kattowitz .
In September 1944 the association was dissolved.
