Andreas Gminder (born July 10, 1964 in Stuttgart ) is a German mycologist . Its botanical-mycological author's abbreviation is " Gminder ".

Life

Gminder has lived in Jena since 2003 , is separated and has a daughter (* 2007) and two sons by marriage (* 1998 and * 2000).

Andreas Gminder has been a mushroom consultant and member of the German Society for Mycology (DGfM) since 1990 . Between 1991 and 2001 he was secretary of the Association of Pilzfreunde Stuttgart and from 1993 co-editor of the Südwestdeutsche Pilzrundschau . Gminder has been a consultant for the mushroom advisor training at DGfM since 1999, and has been the company's mushroom expert auditor since 2004. From 1999 to 2003 he worked as a volunteer in the mycological herbarium of the Natural History Museum in Stuttgart .

In 2003 he became a member of the Thuringian Mycology Working Group (ThAM) and a member of its board. Despite moving to Jena, he remained responsible for mapping in Baden-Württemberg as the state coordinator until the completion of work on volume 5 from the series “ Die Großpilze Baden-Württemberg ”. Since 2009 he has been the state coordinator for Thuringia and since 2010 a member of the DGfM technical committee "Nature Conservation and Mapping". Since 2010 Gminder has been one of two editors of the Zeitschrift für Mykologie . In 2015 Gminder was appointed to the advisory board for nature conservation in Thuringia, where he represents mushrooms.

Act

In his work, Gminder focuses, among other things, on mapping the occurrence of fungi, formerly also in collaboration with German J. Krieglsteiner . He also deals intensively with the genus Mollisia . However, his main focus is generally on large mushrooms, his publications cover a wide range of mushrooms and tubular mushrooms. Since October 2004 he has been offering mushroom courses, lectures and the preparation of expert reports.

Since 2012 he has been working mainly as a freelance mycologist in research projects, especially in the Bavarian Forest National Park , which cover the field mycological part of larger, sometimes interdisciplinary research projects in cooperation with universities (including Halle, Marburg). In 2014, as part of an initial inventory of the Ethiopian Kafa biosphere reserve organized by NABU , he worked on the mushroom occurrence there. In the course of this initial inventory, a number of newly described species were found.

Gminder - influenced by his mentors Walter Pätzold , Hans Haas and German J. Krieglsteiner - pays particular attention to the ecology of mushrooms and, in particular, their application in practical nature conservation. In this context he works on the red lists of mushrooms in Germany and Thuringia. He was in charge of editing the red list of mushrooms in Baden-Württemberg. He is also co-author with Matthias Lüderitz of a booklet on 19  types of responsibility .
