Adalbert Ricken
Adalbert Ricken (born March 30, 1851 in Fulda ; † March 1, 1921 there ) was an important Hessian , German mycologist . Its official botanical author abbreviation is " Ricken ".
He attended the seminary in Fulda until 1873 . After his ordination he worked as a chaplain and priest in several places in the diocese of Fulda. His work Vademecum für Mushroom Friends became the widespread identification book for mushrooms in Germany from the first edition until the middle of the 20th century .
His work on the systematics of mushrooms is also significant .
