LVT food industry

The LVT food industry is a German trade magazine from Wiley-VCH for professionals and executives in the food industry, beverage industry and their packaging and component suppliers. Industry news, specialist articles and practice-oriented user contributions report on all aspects of the entire value chain . They are intended to offer the reader support with technical questions in the production, process engineering and packaging of food and beverages.

The constant topics include conveyor technology, packaging and logistics, food design , hygiene and monitoring, IT and automation, as well as the entire area of ​​production such as operating technology, plant construction and components or process technology. Aside from the regular topics, the most important trade fairs in the industries are also addressed, individual branches of industry are dealt with with a focus on the industry and currently important topics such as sustainability or modern management are dealt with in detailed specials.

The LVT food industry is published eight times a year and has, according to IVW a circulation of about 11,000 copies (as of quarter 2/2015).

The first edition appeared in October 1949 under the name Die Lebensmittel-Industrie - Research Practice Administration by Die Wirtschaft, East Berlin . From 1981 it was published by VEB Fachbuchverlag Leipzig under the name of Lebensmittelindustrie - magazine for science and technology . In 1989 Oskar Ohler acquired the title, which from then on was published by Meisenbach Verlag. In 2000, Wiley-VCH Verlag bought Oskar Ohler's magazine. In October 2001 WILEY-VCH moved the title together with CITplus to GIT VERLAG and the title received its name, LVT Lebensmittel Industrie, which is still valid today .
