La rassegna mensile di Israel (abbreviated RMI) is an Italian magazine for Jewish culture and history. It is published three times a year by La Giuntina in Florence .

history

The magazine was founded in Rome in 1925 by Dante Lattes and Alfonso Pacifici as a cultural addition to the weekly magazine "Israel". Soon it became a forum for the dissemination and research of the history, thought and literature of the Jews in Italy . In 1938 the magazine had to stop its publication due to the Italian anti-Jewish racial laws . The new episode appeared from 1948.

Since the Second World War, the magazine's editors-in-chief have taken over successively :

The magazine contains contributions on religious, political, social and historical questions of Judaism and in-depth reports on archeology , literature , art and science . In addition to these contributions by specialist authors, book reviews and overview articles on publications on Jewish topics at home and abroad appear.

Each year contains three booklets with around 700 pages.
