A little later, in 1662, he left the Troupe du Marais to join the Troupe de Molière . When Le Noir got the stage name La Thorillière is not known.

Molière's decision to join Le Noir was primarily due to his good looks, even if he still had a lot to learn. In 1663 Molière took the risk and gave Le Noir a leading role. He played the role of marquis fâcheux in the play l'impromptu de Versailles . In the following year, Molière wrote the role of Géronimo in Mariage forcé especially for him.

In the following years he played in all the plays of Molière such as Der Menschenfeind , Tartuffe , Amphitryon or George Dandin in the main cast, leading and supporting roles. A few times he also took part in pieces by Jean Racine .

When Molière died unexpectedly in 1673, Le Noir learned within six days the role of argan in The Conceited Sick , which Molière had previously played himself. The former Troupe de Molier joined forces with the Troupe du Marais without leadership. Finally, Le Noir and his troupe found a new home in the Hôtel de Bourgogne . There he rose to work in administration and administration. Le Noir died in 1880, allegedly of grief caused by Dancourt's kidnapping of his daughter Thérèse .

Le Noir's son Pierre followed in his father's footsteps with the same stage name. His older daughter Charlotte married Michel Baron and the kidnapped Thérèse became Dancourt's wife. All that is known about Le Noir's youngest daughter, Marie-Madeleine, is that she was civilly married.
