History and description
The station went into operation on July 13, 1913, when the first section of Line 8 from Opéra to Beaugrenelle (since 1947: Charles Michels ) was opened.
It is 75 m long, lies under an elliptical vault and has two side platforms on two main tracks. The ceiling and walls are tiled in white, the side walls follow the curvature of the ellipse. The ceiling is broken roughly in the middle by a pedestrian tunnel.
To the north of the station, a service track joins the track towards Balard from the Invalides loop .
The only access is on the edge of a small park on the east side of the Boulevard de La Tour-Maubourg. It is marked by a “Val d'Osne” candelabra . An additional exit with escalator leads to Rue de Grenelle.

Until 1975, Sprague-Thomson trains ran on Line 8 . In that year MF 67 trains came on the line, which were replaced from 1980 by the MF 77 series .
