La tartine de beurre

La tartine de beurre ( The Butterbrot ) KV 6 A 284n C.27.09 is a piano piece that is attributed to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart , but sometimes also to his father Leopold Mozart .

Spreading the bread is illustrated by glissandi of the right hand.

The origin of the short piece is not clear. Allegedly, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart composed the bread and butter at the age of five. The piece was probably first published by Litolff in Braunschweig . It may have come from Henry Charles Litolff .
