She then worked from 1998 to 1999 as a lawyer in the corporate trust department. politics

Remler's political origin within the ÖVP is the ÖAAB , where she acts as the representative of the Tyrolean regional group. She is also the deputy district chairwoman of the Tyrolean women in Lienz . Her primary political task before moving to Vienna was most recently as a councilor and chairwoman of the social committee as well as managing director of the health and social services of the city of Lienz.

Until then, practically only known in Tyrol, she was designated on November 12, 2010 by Federal Party Chairman Josef Pröll as the successor to State Secretary Christine Marek , who, after a severe defeat of her party in the previous Viennese state elections, devoted herself exclusively to regional politics in Vienna. Her inauguration took place on November 26, 2010, her 38th birthday.

After she was sworn in to the position of State Secretary for the Family, she was given leave of absence in her role as a councilor, and her job as managing director of the Lienz health and social center was also taken over by a party colleague.

In the course of the government reshuffle after Pröll's withdrawal from politics, Vice Chancellor Spindelegger announced her return to Tyrol on April 19, 2011.

Verena Remler was replaced as State Secretary of the Family on April 19, 2011.

From 2011 to 2013 Verena Remler was a member of the Tyrolean state parliament for the Tyrolean People's Party.
