The building Laaßstrasse 2, 3 is a listed residential building in Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

It is located on the south side of Laaßstrasse in Magdeburg's Neue Neustadt district . The Berlin – Magdeburg railway runs immediately south of the house .

Architecture and history

The three-story plastered house was built between 1905 and 1907 as a house for railway workers. The builder of the double house was the Royal Railway Directorate of the Prussian State Railways .

The facade is structured by brightly plastered surfaces and red brick surfaces. The roof area is partially developed and provided with gables in half-timbered construction . The building is covered by a half-hip roof . The entrances are located on the south side facing away from the street.

The residential building is part of an ensemble of several buildings related to the railway in the vicinity, such as the Magdeburg-Neustadt train station to the south and the civil servants' residence at Lübecker Straße 135 .

The building is listed as a residential building under registration number 094 82222 in the local monument register.
