Lääz Rockit (English pronunciation without heavy metal umlauts ) is an American heavy metal band.
The band was formed in 1982 by Michael Coons and Aaron Jellum in the Californian city of Berkeley . After performing a few gigs with various musicians, guitarist Phil Kettner and drummer Victor Agnello joined the band in 1983. In the same year bassist Willy Lange also joined the band. With this line-up, the band recorded four albums. Also in 1983 the band signed a record deal with Target Entertainment and in 1984 Lääz Rockit released their first album City's Gonna Burn .
In 1985 the band released the second album No Stranger to Danger . A year later, in 1986, they appeared for the first time in Europe in support of Motörhead .
In 1989 Lange, Kettner and Agnello left the band for various reasons. Coons and Jellum recorded two more albums together and continued to give concerts. In 1992 Lääz Rockit gave their last concert in Japan . After that, the band renamed itself Gack. They released an album as Gack, but broke up shortly afterwards.
After 13 years Lääz Rockit appeared in the original line-up at the Dynamo Open Air Festival 2005. In 2006 the DVD Live Untold was released .
