Labers Castle

Labers is an agricultural district in the municipality of Merano east of Obermais in South Tyrol ( Italy ). Labers is located on the northwest slopes of the Tschögglberg above the Merano valley basin at an altitude between 400 and 800  m above the spa town. Significant buildings are the namesake Labers Castle and Rametz Castle .

The agricultural areas are used for growing apples and grapes. The place is strongly influenced by tourism through numerous hotels, also due to the proximity to the Merano Botanical Garden around Trauttmansdorff Castle . Labers can be reached via Laberserstrasse.

A special attraction is the 150 meter high waterfall.
