The Lac de Capitello (Corsican Lavu di Capitellu ) is a lake on Corsica in the Haute-Corse department , located in the Restonica high valley about 15 km from Corte .

The lake is close (about an hour's steep climb) to Lac de Melo .
The Lac de Capitello is the deepest natural lake in Corsica (max. 42 m) and the fourth largest in terms of area (5.5 ha). It is surrounded by mountain peaks with a height of up to 2230 m and frozen over for more than eight months a year.
In the high season, the lake is visited by up to 1200 hikers per day, which is a problem for the sensitive ecosystem.
