Restonica valley

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Restonica Valley leads from the town of Corte in the center of Corsica to the mountains. The road leading through the valley is very narrow and overcomes a difference in altitude of almost 1000 m over a distance of 15 km.

At the end of the valley is the Bergerie de Grotelle at 1370  m . Two destinations that can be reached within one or two hours are the two lakes Lac de Melo and Lac de Capitello . Both of them feed the Restonica River.

The Oriente Sea lies above the valley after a 1000 m ascent .

Since the end of the 1990s , numerous modern climbing tours have also been attempted in the valley and secured with bolts .
