The Lac de l'Orrenaye is a lake in the French - Italian border area of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence region .

The Lac de l'Orrenaye is located in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence region , about 30 km west of the Italian city of Cuneo or 25 km northeast of the French city of Barcelonnette .
The fastest way to get to the lake is by taking the D900 from Barcelonnette towards Col de Larche . About one kilometer before the top of the pass, a path leads up to the lake on the left in a northerly direction. It first leads past the l'Orrenaye stream to the left. If you continue to the Col de Ruburent pass (2496 m), the Lac de Ruburent (2426 m) lies on the Italian side .
