The Ubayette is a mountain river in France that runs in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region . It rises in the French part of the Cottian Alps , near the Italian border, at the mountain summit Tête de l'Enchastraye (2954 m) in the municipality of Larche in the Mercantour National Park , drains with a steep gradient towards north to northwest and flows after about 21 kilometers at the municipal border from La Condamine-Châtelard and Saint-Paul-sur-Ubaye as a left tributary into the Ubaye .

The Ubayette is an extreme white water kayak river. Winter sports are practiced in the mountains of the upper reaches.
