Lachesis ( Greek Λάχεσις Lachesis , German , Zuteilerin ' ) is in Greek mythology the middle of the three Fates . Your job is to measure the length of the thread of life that is spun by her sister Klotho and cut by Atropos .

According to Hesiod , Lachesis was a daughter of Zeus and Themis . Elsewhere in the theogony , however, the goddesses of fate (Moiren) are called children of the Nyx ("night").

Its equivalent in Roman mythology was Decima (the 'tithe').
