The Lada-Arena ( Russian Ледовый дворец, "Лада-Арена" ) is a 6,122-seat ice rink in Tolyatti , Russia , which opened in August 2013. The local ice hockey club HK Lada Tolyatti from the Vysschaja Hockey League plays its home games in the arena .

history

The Lada Arena replaces the Volgar Sports Palace , which has been the home of HK Lada Tolyatti for decades . Due to the small number of spectators with less than 3,000 seats, the club was excluded from the Continental Hockey League in 2010 .

In August 2013 the Lada Arena was opened with the tournament for the traditional Lada Cup. A few months after the opening, the first defects in the building became apparent, and there was also criticism of the arena's out-of-date equipment.
