Ark is an impact crater on the front of the Moon southwest of Sinus Medii , south of Godin crater and northeast of Saunders . The crater is badly eroded. The southern part of the wall is almost leveled.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the German amateur astronomer Heinrich Eduard von Lade .
